People, the ones who cook, usually fall into traps when it comes to preparing meals for the family. Weekly shopping can be problematic especially when you are pressed for time and just do not have the time to run to the shops daily. It is best to buy food for seven days so nothing goes to waste. This is to avoid having to go to the shops more than once during the week.

If you have Internet connection then it is no problem in finding new recipes, the World Wide Web abounds with them and all it takes is a little research. Another simple meal are baked potatoes served with a side salad and cottage cheese over the potatoes. Washing up after a meal such as this is no problem as there really isn't much to wash. In this way you can introduce salad ingredients such as English cucumbers and other vegetables.

It is a meal that doesn't require much preparation and it is easy to wash up afterwards which is not the best job around. This is one of thousands of recipes that are healthier than eating out at a well known fast food outlet. The trick though is timing and filling the needs of the family.

When in doubt stick to basics that everyone will enjoy. It all depends who the eaters are and how fussy they can be. It usually becomes apparent what is liked or disliked. Cooking should not be a chore but it can become one. Having family members helping out is a good exercise should you get this right as it decreases the workload and makes the experience all that more worthwhile.
