Can An Olive Oil Bar Find Success?

By Katie Onson

If there's one thing that I didn't expect to see, in this day and age, it would be an olive oil bar. Don't get me wrong; I love the product itself and I believe it to be one of the healthiest that can be imagined. With that said, I believe that it's important to understand that this product has taken yet another step. If you are curious as to what this means, you probably didn't hear about the new bar of sorts that had just opened up in Brooklyn, New York.

A report was posted on Gothamist and the olive oil bar in Brooklyn goes by the name of We Olive. It's clear that the main focus of said bar is the oil itself, seeing as how 40 different subtypes can be purchased from the establishment itself. It's also worth nothing that vinegar lovers have a couple of options to choose from as well. Of course, these positive points are just a few that authorities such as Unaprol would be wise to draw attention to.

We Olive has more than just oil and vinegar, though. There's also a selection of California wine to enjoy, as the article went into detail about. There's also the matter of a menu of smaller entrees that can be enjoyed from the bar itself. What this means is that anyone who enjoys flatbreads, paninis, salads, and the like can indulge in a few appetizing bites if they would like. These options are tremendous and they serve to help food lovers that much more.

One has to wonder if We Olive has the potential to continually build an audience. Given the number of services offered - not just the choice of oils to purchase but the vinegars, wine, and menu items as well - I believe it to be the case. Of course, one can make the argument that success is partially judged by the level of expansion seen. With We Olive being seen in only New York and California, at this rate, one has to wonder if such an endeavor can be undertaken.

As far as the demand for this is concerned, it's a matter of measurement over the course of time. A business like this stands the chance of growing but it has to be done through its appeal and how the outside world sees the proposition. Of course, the litany of services offered is appealing, whether people pride themselves on being fans of olive oil or not. Nonetheless, We Olive has a strong basis and it has all of the room in the world to continue growing.
