Dense fish types, like salmon or cod, may benefit from a light dry rub or marinating in a flavorful juice concentrate.

The thing about getting a good deal on quality fish is the ability to freeze any unused portions. Sometimes shellfish and some exotic creatures may require immediate cooking but they best way to be sure is to consult a seafood expert. They can suggest the best preparation method based on the way it was shipped, as some supermarket brands may have been frozen though it may be advertised as fresh.
