College Bar Blacksburg Where Everyone Knows Your Name

By Thomas Phillips

One of the best places to visit when in this university town is called Top of the Stairs. This place first got started in 1978, and it has been a popular college bar Blacksburg for the students who go to school there ever since. Those who are lovers of barbecue and the usual food you can expect in a pub will feel right at home here, and there's also the cocktails and karaoke.

Those who are fans of seafood that has never touched a frying pan, look no further than Green's Grill and Sushi Bar. Green's is the place to go for delicious sushi, and there are plenty of other Mediterranean, Japanese, Indian, and American dishes if sushi is not your taste. This is a more casual place to enjoy a delicious bite with friends.

Those who are trying to catch the big game at a local pub might consider giving Big Al's a try. They are located on the second floor at 201 North Main Street. Their high definition TVs are a huge draw for anyone who can't make it to the big game but still wants to enjoy it with an enthusiastic crowd.

Sometimes the very best places are run by families, which means that the management works very closely together and has a very clear idea of what they want the business to be. London Underground Pub Limited is one of those places. They have craft brews, the usual pub food you can expect, and even dart boards.

At 211 Draper Road Northwest, there is an establishment known as the She-Sha Cafe and Hookah Lounge. This being a hookah bar, you can smoke deliciously flavored tobaccos there. There are also foods that are culturally themed, live music, and an environment that is chill and very inviting.

At 607 Main Street is one of the most popular pubs in this town. Known as the Blacksburg TapHouse, this establishment boasts a beautiful patio and cigar bar that get a lot of people excited. They also keep their microbrews rotating so you can always try something different, and their burgers are anything but bland.

At 212 Draper Road Northwest is a business called River Mill. This is a great place to go for those who are looking for a country feel that seems to put them in a different time. The wood panels do a lot to add ambiance. Along with many different craft beers, River Mill also boasts loaded tater tots.

Those who are looking to hang out with a rowdy and lively crowd might find a good time at Bull and Bones Brewhaus. The sportsbar has plenty of billiards tables, which keeps a lot of people hanging out and drinking here for hours on end every night of the week. Those who want to sit down and eat can do so in the dining room. This place is at 1470 South Main Street.
