More About Quality Organic Foods

In most countries today, the whole food production is under control and all organic food is certified as such. This means that no artificial additives, chemicals, pesticides and similar things cannot be used in this process of production. Even when this type of food has to be processed, chemicals, irradiation and similar methods shouldn't be used. Quality organic foods should be pure and natural, and everything should be under control.

Conventional production uses all kinds of chemical treatments in order of producing more money. Their fruits and vegetables look really nice, beautifully colored and uniformly sized. The quality of these products is, on the other hand, questionable. More and more people suffer from food allergies, for example. If you eat naturally produced food, you will be healthier. Besides, it tastes so much better.

Fruits and veggies you can find in your supermarket are usually grown using all kinds of pesticides and other chemicals. Before arriving into supermarket, they were additionally treated with other chemicals, designed to preserve colors and freshness. That's why it is so important to wash them. Untreated fruits and vegetables are in their natural condition, maybe less colorful, but safer for consummation.

Some experts say that there are no much differences between these veggies, but if you just taste them, you will see that naturally grown ones taste so much better. They can control the amount of different nutrients in their products, but nature can do much better job. Organic food contain more nutrients, less non-nutrients and taste better, whatever those experts think. And these veggies and fruits are much healthier to consume.

Different countries have different regulations about all this. Some have really strict rules, while some are more flexible about it. In fact, all stages of this entire process of production should be under control. There should be no chemicals in the soil, they aren't allowed to use artificial additives or pesticides, everything should be perfectly natural. You can see it all on numerous farms that use traditional farming methods.

Mass production is rarely fully natural. It would be too expensive and too risky. The only way to make sure that something is at least produced under control is to choose certified products only. Specialized stores offer high quality products. They have higher level of nutrients, lower level of non-nutrients and are safer to consume. This is especially important when it comes to children and sensitive people.

Processed organic foods should contain only natural ingredients, to be labeled as such. In most countries it is allowed that these products contain up to five percent non-organic ingredients. In any case, they shouldn't include artificial additives, genetically modified ingredients and chemicals. In addition, some methods such as irradiation and chemical ripening should never be used in the process of production.

It is always important to read the labels. You will find different products that are only partly natural, and contain some additives that shouldn't be there. If you are concerned about your health, choose natural products only. This whole process of production respects the nature and that's why ecologically balanced farming gives such good results. It's good for you and for the world you live in.
