A Guide To The Perfect Wedding Menu

By Freida Michael

There are many reasons why everyone loves weddings. Some are for the merry making and others come to share the happiness of the couple being together and although not many admit it, the free food. Having this in thought, one should consider the guests mostly when asking the caterers what they should prepare. Here are some ideas based on tips on getting the best wedding menu.

Stay away from broths during such events. They spill easily and the possibility of staining the beautiful clothes with liquids should be left to the wines and other drinks. If one has a large number of guests, it may not be as consistent as expected. The same goes for sauces. Minimize on them.

Save on servers. Using many staff to give out food on call is more expensive than people going to get the food themselves. Have just the ones on the food table who will take care of the handing out food to people. The extra staff will be an exiled burden while the service will still be good. Sometimes, it looks overdone.

Limit the types of alcohols available. Although the big variety of people who all have different tastes and preferences, it is hard to have them all satisfied. Have some wines and beers other than trying to collect as many brands as the market can offer. If not, ask them to bring their own. Many will understand and it will also save for the couple.

Be all rounded for the sake of all at the party. Many think of only the grown ups during meals, but there are also kids and teenagers who come. Have a space for them too. Try out some confectionery and some fruit juices to suit their tastes. Also consider any people who might have conditions like diabetes.

Keep of foods that can easily get overcooked. There is nothing more embarrassing than serving food that has overstayed its welcome on the heat and has ended up losing taste. If it is fish, try something that is not the oily tuna and if it is chicken or any other white meat, have it made well so that it does not end up tasting like rubber.

Try having those in season at the moment. If making fruit salad or vegetable based foods, go for those in season. Those that are not are rare to find and those that will be found will cost an extra buck. There is a lot to choose from so try and pick out from those available. Some has to be imported which can be time consuming and costly and if it fails, an embarrassment.

Be uncomplicated. It is the easiest way to make it through this. Edit the menu thoroughly and ensure that all listed can be delivered. If one cannot afford those expensive wines for the whole party, just get a classic bottle for the bridal train than just ordinary for the rest. If the big five tier cake cannot be afforded, go for a smaller but a beautiful one. In many cases, not many eat a piece of the cake enough to know the prices.
