Nature continuously provides all animals and human beings with healthy food to eat. While some plants are grown as crops because they were domesticated long ago, many others are found in the wild as weeds. Many people do not know how to identify those that are edible from the poisonous ones. Those lucky enough to live near these plantations are able to identify and pick them for eating. They instead purchase them from markets and stores that sell groceries. Many residents in the state live in urban areas and buy all the food that they consume in their homes.

The arrangement is very convenient for city dwellers. Many individuals lead extremely hectic lives that revolve around work and their families. They do not have time to grow food let alone go to harvest wild plants. They rely on supplies that bring these delicacies to cities for sale. This is convenient for them as it saves time and energy.

New lifestyles and technologies invented have made less and less people spend time outside. Life for many people is led indoors because of the increased entertainment from technology like the Internet, laptops, television sets and video games. This generation of people has no idea how farming is done let alone harvesting weeds for food. They are purchase most of the food they eat.

Selling and supplying edible weeds has created many job opportunities. This employment pays suppliers, sellers and distributors who take this food to the market. With the rise in demand for these vegetables, the supply is also increased around the city. This has become the main source of livelihood for many people. Food will always be in high demand thus is good business.

People have grown highly suspicious on the safety and healthiness of foods that are grown. This is because there are many chemicals used in processing and farming foods today. These are used to increase growth rate and produce more yield. Natural weeds that are edible are free from these chemicals.
