Sauces are utilized for the purpose of seasoning as well. Tomato, BBQ, Hollandaise, soy sauce and other different sorts of sauces are used and they all go well with egg in a flawless manner. Also when you utilize sauce with your egg, then you no longer need different sorts of herbs or flavors in because your dish might taste extraordinary with just sauce.

Herbs either dried or fresh also prove to be an excellent choice. To give omelette an Italian kick, use fresh thyme or oregano but in small quantities. Similarly, to give your scrambled egg a bit Asian touch, just add ginger and rosemary to it. Apart from that herbs like coriander, mint and basil all go well with eggs.

To add a bit of texture, cheese could be a good option. You can use cheddar, mozzarella or any other variety of cheese either in the batter or on top of the cooked dish. You may not need to add any extra salt while using cheese as most of the cheeses are already salty and season eggs perfectly.

To make it a healthy dish, fresh vegetables can also be used as a type of seasoning. Chopped onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and peas all go well with it. Addition of vegetables not only makes your dish more colorful but at the same time it increases the healthy content of it. It is totally up to you what sort of vegetables you use in your dish.

Sometimes lemon, lemon zest and other citrus fruits are also used to season them and it gives a very tangy and zesty flavor to it which is liked by many people but if you don't like it you don't have to use it. Chopped bacon or fried meat pieces can add a very meaty flavor to it making your dish even more protein rich in its content.

Therefore, there are different varieties of seasoning for eggs that can be used. Its totally up to you what sort of flavor or taste you like the most and you can season your eggs whether they are scrambled, fried or poached according to your personal taste and preference.
